360 Suicide Prevention Awareness
Creative event around suicide awareness and prevention for young people
Nicola and Latifah wanted to offer a dedicated event around suicide awareness and prevention for young people on World Suicide Prevention Day in September.
The event included three creative workshops around mental health to provide tools to support mental health and a safe place to discuss triggers and fears around suicide. Speakers were invited to talk about their personal experiences of suicide and the event ended with a vision boards session to help young people to dream big and think about their support and needs.
The Young Leaders are also running a social enterprise around mental health and will build an offer based on practical workshops due to the feedback they received.
Kimberly – “The art workshop was very therapeutic – creativity is so important.”
Donna – “The most important thing I learnt? How to recognise deteriorating mental health in others.”
