KORI trip to Minnis Bay
Community members enjoy a day at sea
Young people from KORI organised a trip Minnus Bay. They wanted to produce an opportunity to give back to their community. This day-long seaside trip involved 14 young people and 5 volunteers. It was a great opportunity to do something fun during the holiday without worrying about financial constraints.
The trip allowed young people who don’t usually travel to go somewhere outside of London and see sights that they have not seen before. The young leaders organised the coach, food and arrangements for the day. A day relaxing by the beach seemed to be exactly what the young people and their families needed during the summer months.
The KORI group intend to run many more events like this in future years, giving young people a chance to explore areas they might not be able to see otherwise.
