To enable the youth members of Islington Boat Club to feel connected during these times of isolation
This was an online art project about creating a sense of unity in order to ‘stay connected’ during these challenging times.
Each member of the youth team was given 2 ceramic tiles and 4 marker pens and set the task of completing a piece of artwork. We completed the tiles on a live Zoom call to create a strong feeling of togetherness.
The tiles were then collected and will be fitted at the club as part of an ‘art wall’ as a reminder of this unprecedented time and the fact we were able to maintain our connection and comradeship.
44 people from both the mainstream youth group and the All On Board project which is for young people with disabilities took part. The project was a success and we are looking forward to having the tiles assembled at the club to make the finished wall.
