Community Photography & Art Workshops
Fun and accessible photography and arts workshops for young people
About the Project
Charles Adeyemi, founder of Echo Your Sport, delivered six photography and art workshops for two community groups in Islington. The art sessions were run in a mosaic art studio where young people created their own mosaic designs and documented their progress using photography. Charles then led on three separate photography taster workshops where young people were inspired to develop their own passion for photography. In total 15 young people took part in Charles’ workshops.
The workshops were a success for both Charles as a facilitator and for those who took part in the projects. Participants developed photography and creative skills while building their confidence, patience and commitment by working with Charles. All of the young people that took part in the workshops enjoyed the experience and the challenge of using their creative talents to make something fresh and original.
Charles is continuing to develop his business Echo Your Sport and is interested in working with Peabody in the future to develop film highlights of other projects run in Peabody communities to highlight the positive work being done with young people across London.
