Female Takeover 2
A music and key speaker event designed to discuss issues for women today
Natasha wanted to challenge the fact that women are often overlooked in the creative sector or don’t hold the power. Her Female Takeover 2 – event gave young women a chance to learn the skills they need to challenge this and an opportunity to network with like-minded people.
Held at Rich Mix, the focus was on succeeding in creativity, with music performances and key speakers covering issues such as:
- body positivity
- embracing natural hair at work
- starting a creative brand
There were stalls run by female entrepreneurs, spoken word artists and a finale performance from Misha B.
Natasha continues to volunteer with 8Eyez, the creative platform that supported her project, and is building her portfolio. 8Eyez founder, Julia Samboma, has since won funding to build her company and offer more creative development opportunities to young people.
