A project to teach young people coding and programming
Yazan is a very talented young person who is passionate about coding and programming. He believes that everyone should speak the language of computers and learn how to code.
Yazan wanted to share his passion with young people and create an opportunity for young people to participate and collaborate in a new and specially designed bespoke infrequent project including understating what is coding, understanding programming languages, downloading software applications, planning and creating computer programs and a major game project called Space Invader.
People who participated were able to develop coding skills, time management skills, problem solving skills, leadership skills and management skills. As well as, understand the importance and the positive values of technology for the society and for their future
All the participants managed to complete the final and major project (Space Invader Game).
Yazan said that the Young Leaders Programme helps the local children and young people to gain new skills, stay away from trouble such as drugs, gun and knife crimes as crimes are increasing in the area these days. Also, the programme enables young people to meet new and good people.
