Mental Health Music Video Campaign
A short film/music video to bring awareness to mental health issues, specifically depression
Fred Fredas, a Young Leader passionate about mental health, made a short film/music video campaign to bring awareness to mental health issues, specifically depression. Fred directed a team of actors, a film crew and found them a mentor. He said “they believe creative mediums are the best way to reach young people as most of the time they are on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube, so they will promote on all these platforms”.
The video ‘Running’ is available to watch now. Please click the link to view the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEbYluGqg10
The video was produced and posted online in April 2019 and currently has 2,800 views.
Fred has taken this to their church to show members and now wants to deliver a workshop to young people to talk about depression and the importance of not being afraid to seek professional help.
The video will be screened at Peabody offices in October 2019 as part of World Mental Health week.
