Tachbrook Fun Day
Annual Fun Day to bring the community together
About
The Tachbrook Fun day is an annual event run by The Tenants Association and Tachbrook Hall Committee. Young Leaders sought support from Peabody to produce this year’s event.
The Fun Day is designed to promote community cohesion across the local area involving over 250 residents.
Impact
A total of 30 volunteers helped to ensure the day run smoothly assisting with food and drink, inflatable’s, handing out flyers, helium balloons, sweet tall, games stalls and first aid station. 72 people from the ages of 6 – 76 years old completed evaluations. We also had two external organisations supporting our event the London Fire Brigade – displaying their fire engine and talking to the residents about fire safety and smoke alarms and The British Transport Police with a police dog.
Future Developments
Of the 72 evaluation forms that came back after the event, 70 responded that they would recommend this activity to a friend, which means there will definitely be more Fun Days to come.
