Young Leader Richard hosted a Tech showcase where young people got advice from industry experts.
About
Richard wanted to provide a platform for young people age 14 – 25 to learn about the tech industry, all it involves routes into different areas in a comfortable environment. He worked with Soapbox to do just that, also inviting proffesionals from various tech backgrounds to share their knowledge with the young people.
Impact
More than 60 people attended the event, getting a chance to try out all sorts of tech related vocations such as Animation, Virtual Reality, 3D Printing and Music Production. Each activities also had an acompanying industry experts giving careers advice to each of ther participants. Richard also gave an impassioned speech about the necessary drives to success, successfully encouraging participants to stick around after the event’s end to network with each other and build new positive relationships.
Future Developments
Richards plans to do more events like this in the futures, eventually launching his own business and creating a platform that bring yougn people and employers together.
