Women's Empowerment and Support Squad
A series of exercise classes and discussions focusing on kickboxing and self-defence to empower young women
Supported by ‘The Winch’ based in North Camden, Francesca, aimed to break mental, physical and emotional barriers for other young women aged 15-30, through exercise classes and discussion focusing on kickboxing and self-defence.
One participant, Anna, said “amazing workout, great support and encouragement. It is building my confidence and I feel so much better after this exercise.” Another participant Idil said “the sessions are really helping me get out my comfort zone, I found the voice that I thought I never had, I really enjoy the sessions and want to carry on learning”.
