Youth Violence Campaign - Notre Dame
A project to spread awareness about young people's concerns around knife crime
A group of passionate young people made a decision to run a campaign to address youth violence in their area. They wanted to get the people who matter to listen to young people and to think about how young people are concerned about knife crime and the deaths in London and to work together to try and help each other.
Young people who took part in this project felt that they were listened to and they met high profile people and helped with the Mayors Action Plan to improve trust and confidence in the police.
Young people think that their project was a success because they have been listened to and they have been given the option to participate in a focus group with the Scotland Yard.
Young people said: we felt powerful and we will keep campaigning and hop to have more workshops and training around knife crime and how to run a successful campaign.
